    Wednesday 30 March 2005 The purpose of the Trial has been to gauge the technical issues for broadcasters, multiplex operators and consumers associated with the digital switchover from analogue to digital television transmissions. The trial is a partnership between the Government, broadcasters and digital multiplex operators.
