The great digital TV switchover schedule starts in 2008 with the Borders TV region. The switchover continues by ITV region and is scheduled to finish with London in time for the Olympics in 2012.

This regional order has been determined by technical criteria determined by the Broadcasters and Ofcom. The regional order will follow ITV regions. This ensures that the impact on ITV regional advertising markets is minimised.
